WCFR Announces New Sabrina HoSang Jordan Scholarship Awards

WCFR, Inc. will present six scholarship awards in 2024, four of which will be presented at its “Great Gatsby” themed 10+3 Anniversary & Fundraising Gala. This year’s achievement marks a substantial increase from the years before where three or four Marguerite Thony Scholarship Awards were presented per year. WCFR is introducing three new Sabrina HoSang Jordan Scholarship Awards, expanding its reach and impact within the community.

Nyack, N.Y. (May 20, 2024) – Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. will present six scholarship awards in 2024, four of which will be presented at its “Great Gatsby” themed 10+3 Anniversary & Fundraising Gala. This year’s achievement marks a substantial increase from the years before where three or four Marguerite Thony Scholarship Awards were presented per year. WCFR is introducing three new Sabrina HoSang Jordan Scholarship Awards, expanding its reach and impact within the community.

The new scholarship awards include:

  1. Sabrina HoSang Jordan Scholarship; 2 awards– $500 For college students of Caribbean descent pursuing a healthcare profession in the US.
  2. Sabrina HoSang Jordan Scholarship; 1 award– $1,000 For college students pursuing a healthcare profession in Haiti.

Sabrina HoSang Jordan is the CEO of Caribbean Food Delights and a WCFR Advisory Council Member. She has been a longtime supporter of WCFR’s mission “to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training”.

“Having been to Haiti and seeing first hand the great need for aid, I could not say no when Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. asked me to donate a $1000 scholarship to a student there in my name. Additionally, I told them that I would like to match their donation of $2,000, to add two local scholarships valued at $500 each to Rockland community students as well” said Sabrina HoSang Jordan, CEO of Caribbean Food Delights. “My family and I always believe in empowering the youth by educating them and giving them the tools to succeed in life. This was no exception.”

“Every year, millions of students are able to attend college thanks to the generosity of individuals like Sabrina HoSang Jordan and her family who are willing to help fund their education. WCFR is very grateful for her continued support of our mission. Her scholarship will make a tangible difference in students’ life and expand access to higher education in healthcare” said Dr. Jacqueline Cassagnol, PhD, MSN, RN, PMC, Founder & President of Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. “On September 21st, 2024, two Marguerite Thony Scholarship Awards and two Sabrina HoSang Jordan Scholarship Awards will be presented at our annual gala, marking a pivotal moment in the recipients’ educational journeys as they strive toward their academic goals, pursuing a healthcare profession in the United States.”
